Moon shines on the harbour, a silence that sings A language no longer anybody speaks Blue flash of lightening, running through the streets Rain falls, we're freezing and this is when I feel, this is when I feel Sometimes I wonder, sometimes I wonder, if this is all there is Sometimes I wonder, sometimes I wonder, if this is all there is Floating on the water, an angel on the sea Eyes closed in prayer and this is when I see this is when I see Sometimes I wonder, sometimes I wonder, if this is all there is Sometimes I wonder, sometimes I wonder, if this is all there is

It Haunts 04:13
Fourteen years old, the innocence gone As the world rocked and the bombs dropped No there's no escape from the rolling tapes And the pictures of dead loom large in your living room You've been shaking it all out, shaking it all out Down at the clubs, shaking it all out But it sticks like fog, like oil it clogs 'Till you can't get it out, no you can't get it out And all you can make out are the cries that haunt you And each morning we're born to a new media storm And each evening you die as the flames rise high A tower on fire and they say they'll enquire But the death toll looms large in your living room You've been shaking it all out, shaking it all out Down at the clubs, shaking it all out But it sticks like fog, like oil it clogs in your mouth You can't get it out, no you can't get it out, And all you can make out are the cries that haunt you It haunts, it still haunts It haunts, it still haunts

Minotaur 04:01
It all changed that day I heard the Minotaur say Awake! A voice is calling you And I knew I couldn't stay It's like I got lost in my head Years just following the thread But now the voice that's calling me is silent instead Maybe I'll find my way out of here It all starts with no 'I' Walls are just an illusion Little do you know the path is inside It can all change this day The here and now is o.k. Awake! A voice is calling you It will show you the way
4.
Before the earth moved around the sun Back when our knowledge was so young and simple When we knew how to measure days When were happy just to gaze in wonder Love must have been a different thing When you had Gods to whom you'd sing But now we're cast without a map The only thing you can attach to Is the one who loves you Just when you thought you'd got in time They tell you time is not a constant So what on earth can you rely When everything seems ever changing, changing Love must have been a different thing Before the world was cut so thin And now we're left with all the pieces The only thing you can believe in Is the one who needs you Some say that constants are impossible Some say that constants don't exist Well, I like to think, though it's absurd When all is said and done We're maybe the only constant in this world

about

Man at Sea Bristol, UK

Man at Sea is the moniker of singer-songwriter and composer David Hewson.

Described as a cross between Rufus Wainwright and Thom Yorke, his songs combine sparse arrangements with soaring melodies, shot through with lyrics that have an existential thread and often a dark undertone, dealing with themes of identity and the modern-day loss of spirituality. ... more
